Coding for Kids

Learn to Code Workshop
Saturday, April 27, 2019
am to 2 pm

During this four-hour workshop, kids will learn from professional developers who work at West Monroe Partners. By completing their very own coding project, they’ll gain a basic understanding of software development. We’ll provide laptop computers set up with all the tools needed and participants will leave with resources and opportunities for additional learning after the workshop.

Attendees must be 12 and 16 years old and have experience with foster, adoptive, or relative families. Space is limited to 15.

Social Media for Parents
Saturday, April 27, 2019
10:30 to 11:30

There’s something for parents too! During the coding workshop, parents are welcome to join a conversation about social media. Learn about things to keep in mind so our kids are kept safe. This will be a 45 minute to one-hour open forum for general discussion.
